neil tyson explaining quantum entanglement to a small kid

" ...world below atomic scale is really a sort mysterious and a magical place.

Particles ( i.e. electrons and photons ) act very strangely, behaviors never seen in classical physics before.

One of many magical mysteries is an phenomenon called ' quantum entanglement '.

Particles, lets say - electrons, are somehow invisibly enticed to their anti-self ( i.e. positrons ). Where the state and movement of an electron decides the state and movement of a positron and vice-a-versa.

How it happens? What makes them entangles? and why is it the way it is? is still a mystery

( in simple words 'unknown' )

This makes ' quantum entanglement ' such a sci-fi movie material that it can be logically be exploited to create unbelievable scenes while obeying the reality and still making then sense..."

small kid now understands quantum entanglement

Fun Facts :

  • There are more chances of ' having a real antimatter universe ' than ' a banana tree on Jupiter '

  • Antimatter is a proven anti-twin of the ' matter ' who were entangled with each other at time of their creation.

  • If our universe was entirely made-up antimatter instead, it would still be similar our universe and instead we would call (currently) matter the antimatter and vice-a-versa.

So now you can always say ' hi ' up in the sky and hope someone to reply to your ' hi ' and always blame it onto him/her for anything you think you can't do and show your parents this article.

So that's all for the article, see you soon fellas with new interesting quirks of our unfathomable, cute-little Universe.

Till then, keep looking up!
